大乘本生心地觀經卷第八卷第七 觀心品第十 功德莊嚴品第九 大唐罽賓國三藏般若譯
心地觀法 三界唯心 煩惱根源 即是自心
善男子。三界之中。以心為主。能觀心者。究竟解脫。不能觀者。究竟沈淪。眾生之心猶如大地。五穀五果從大地生。如是心法。生世出世善惡五趣。有學無學。獨覺菩薩及於如來。以是因緣。三界唯心。心名為地。一切凡夫。親近善友。聞心地法。如理觀察。如說修行。自作教他。讚勵慶慰。如是之人能斷三障。速圓眾行。疾得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。
爾時。大聖文殊師利菩薩白佛言。世尊。如佛所說。唯將心法為三界主。心法本無。不染塵穢。云何心法染貪瞋癡。於三世法。誰說為心。過去心已滅。未來心未至。現在心不住。諸法之內。性不可得。諸法之外。相不可得。諸法中間。都不可得。心法本來無有形相。心法本來無有住處。一切如來尚不見心。何況餘人得見心法。一切諸法從妄想生。以是因緣。今者世尊。為大眾說三界唯心。願佛哀愍。如實解說。
爾時。佛告文殊師利菩薩言。如是如是。善男子。如汝所問。心心所法。本性空寂。我說眾喻以明其義。善男子。心如幻法。由徧計生種種心想。受苦樂故。心如流水。念念生滅。於前後世不暫住故。心如大風。一剎那間歷方所故。心如燈焰。眾緣和合而得生故。心如電光。須臾之頃不久住故。心如虛空。客塵煩惱所覆障故。心如猿猴。遊五欲樹不暫住故。心如畫師。能畫世間種種色故。心如僮僕。為諸煩惱所策役故。心如獨行無第二故。心如國王。起種種事得自在故。心如怨家。能令自身受大苦故。心如埃塵。坌污自身生雜穢故。心如影像。於無常法執為常故。心如幻夢。於無我法執為我故。心如夜叉。能噉種種功德法故。心如青蠅好穢惡故。心如殺者能害身故。心如敵對常伺過故。心如盜賊竊功德故。心如大鼓起鬪戰故。心如飛蛾愛燈色故。心如野鹿逐假聲故。心如群豬樂雜穢故。心如眾蜂集蜜味故。心如醉象耽牝觸故。
善男子。如是所說心心所法。無內無外亦無中間。於諸法中求不可得。去來現在亦不可得。超越三世。非有非無。常懷染著。從妄緣現。緣無自性。心性空故。如是空性。不生不滅。無來無去。不一不異。非斷非常。本無生處亦無滅處。亦非遠離非不遠離。如是心等不異無為。無為之體不異心等。心法之體本不可說。非心法者亦不可說。何以故。若無為是心即名斷見。若離心法即名常見。永離二相。不著二邊。
如是悟者名見真諦。悟真諦者名為賢聖。一切賢聖性本空寂。無為法中。戒無持犯。亦無大小。無有心王及心所法。無苦無樂。如是法界自性無垢。無上中下差別之相。何以故。是無為法性平等故。如眾河水流入海中。盡同一味無別相故。此無垢性是無等等。遠離於我及離我所。此無垢性非實非虛。此無垢性是第一義。無盡滅相。體本不生。此無垢性常住不變。最勝涅槃。我樂淨故。此無垢性遠離一切平不平等。體無異故。若有善男子善女人。欲求阿耨多羅三藐三菩提者。應當一心修習如是心地觀法。(中略)
爾時。如來於諸眾生起大悲心。猶如父母愛念一子。為滅世間大力邪見。利益安樂一切有情。宣說觀心陀羅尼曰
唵(一)室他(二)波羅(二合)底(三)吠憚(四)迦盧弭(五)
爾時。如來說真言已。告文殊師利菩薩摩訶薩。如是神呪具大威力。若有善男子善女人。持此呪時。舉清淨手。左右十指更互相叉。以右押左(又有一說。以左押右)。更相豎握。如縛著形。名金剛縛印。成此印已。習前真言。盈滿一徧。勝於讀習十二部經。所獲功德無有限量。乃至菩提不復退轉。
(功德莊嚴品第九 卷第七) 爾時。彌勒菩薩摩訶薩白佛言。世尊。如佛所說。住阿蘭若功德成就。當得作佛。菩薩云何修諸功德。而能住是阿蘭若中。唯願世尊。為我解說。爾時。佛告彌勒菩薩摩訶薩言。汝善男子。當修學者。但有一德。是人應住阿蘭若處求無上道。云何為一。謂觀一切煩惱根源。即是自心。了達此法。堪能住止阿蘭若處。所以者何。譬如狂犬被人驅打。但逐瓦石不逐於人。未來世中住阿蘭若新發心者。亦復如是。若見色聲香味觸法。其心染著。是人不知煩惱根本。不知五境從自心生。即此名為未能善住阿蘭若處。以是因緣。樂住寂靜求無上道一切菩薩摩訶薩等。若五欲境現前之時。觀察自心。應作是念。我從無始至于今日。輪迴六趣無有出期。皆自妄心而生迷倒。於五欲境貪愛染著。如是菩薩名為堪住阿蘭若處。

This is what i’m focusing now & reading this has made me know that i’m right on track. I don’t have time to go & learn the basic Buddhism terms etc, take Buddhism classes because I don’t think those will help me or it’s what I need.

Sorry taking so long to reply to you. I was not quite sure how I should answer to your comment, particularly by English wordings. I would be trying to today.
I believe that you are on the right track if you find reading Sutras and these posted partial Sutra articles helpful and useful to learn and practice Buddhism. I have realized that I would be more benefitted of learning the true Buddhism if I read directly from the Sutras and by myself. It could be wastes of time to listen to Buddhism lecturer in today’s temples or other societies. I have also realized it could be not helpful in understaning real Buddhism for reading so called Buddhism books or articles that are not directly linked to original translated Sutras. I have even realized whatever the monks (male or female) lecturing and selling in today’s society market, commonly may not be true Buddhism.
The best way to learn and practice Buddhism today is to read Sutras directly by self. Must be by self, don’t solely rely the learning and practice of Buddhism from other people. I may compare to what others or articles saying. However, Sutras are the only and the final Buddhism sources that I would follow and practice.
Today, I still go to listen to Buddhism lectures occasionally, mainly to support the circulation and spreading of Buddhism. So sentient beings know Buddhism, Buddha and Bodhisattva exist, and would pursue Buddhism. Then the Buddhism would continue existing. I keep my thought and my soul open objectively, continuously to learn and practice Buddhism.
